Executive Committee membersip
The Solo and Small Practice Section currently has three open voting positions on its Executive Committee to fulfill the remainder of unexpired terms. In accordance with the Section’s Bylaws, each of these vacancies will be filled by Executive Committee appointment. For the three vacancies, two are to fulfill the remainder of a term ending on September 30, 2010, and one position will serve through September 30, 2011.
The Executive Committee is composed of 14 positions, 11 solo or small practice lawyers with voting rights and three non-lawyer professionals who serve as non-voting ex officio members.
If you are interested in serving in one of the open positions, or wish to nominate someone who is a current member of the Solo and Small Practice Section, please email your interest or nomination to Julie Fowler at julie@juliefowlerlaw.com and include a brief candidate statement. Individuals appointed to a position now will have the opportunity to run for a two-year term of office during the next election, to be held prior to October 2010.
The Solo and Small Practice Section is committed to promoting diversity, equality, and cultural understanding throughout the legal community. We encourage Section members who represent both cultural and geographic diversity to consider applying for vacant positions on the Executive Committee. For these current openings, Section members from outside the Puget Sound metropolitan area are especially encouraged to apply.
